New Fellowstream Feature: The Inbox
We’ve been hinting for a while that we’ve got new stuff in the works for Fellowstream. Well, we’re getting close to having the next big update of Fellowstream pushed to the beta, so I feel it’s time to unveil some new features.
One of the biggest complaints we’ve gotten in beta is that the notification system is too hidden. In order to fix that, we’ve created an easy to use Fellowstream inbox! Located in its own tab next to the Workspace, the Inbox will help you better communicate and organize within Fellowstream.
It’s my work in a box!
The inbox serves two purposes:
- MESSAGES: Send non-ticket related notes. The current version of Fellowstream doesn’t allow you to communicate with teammates inside your account. Now you send your teammate a quick note without having to pop back over into e-mail.
- UPDATES: Keep track of all your task requests. Just like the old notification system, the inbox will allow you to accept or reject any tickets assigned to you. It will also notify you when people complete or work on tickets that you follow. The big bonus to the new system is that the inbox tab is more visible at the top of the screen so you won’t miss out on new tickets so often. By default, Fellowstream opens the inbox so you will see any requests each time you log in.
Messages: Because sometimes, you just want to talk to someone, rather than task them.
Our aim is to improve overall team communication and increase timeliness of task requests being accepted (or rejected) with the new system.
The next Fellowstream update will include a few more features which I’ll be discussing over the next few weeks. Stay tuned and, if you have any feature requests, let us know so we can put it in our priority queue!
