Fellowstream in the News
We were already pretty excited about Fellowstream getting reviewed by game developer Scionwest on Monday, but the week’s been a banner-awesome for us. We’ve been relying solely on word of mouth to get the word out about Fellowstream since we opened our beta doors in May. We’ve seen a nice steady trickle of people come in, starting with our closest friends, then our friends’ friends, and so on down the Interweb chain.
All that changed when two big sites reviewed us this week. First WebWorkerDaily.com’s Thursday Bram’s review:
http://webworkerdaily.com/2010/08/11/fellowstream-ticket-based-task-management/
Then LaFermeduWeb.net followed suite, with our very first non-English review:
The response has been overwhelming. For the first time, we had to wait to accept applications to make sure our current users didn’t experience a slow down. We are humbled by the amount of people willing to try us out. Thank you.
So far, all reviews of Fellowstream have been positive. It’s a nice ego boost after taking a huge pay cut to try the entrepreneurship thing. But we expect and will probably deserve criticism as we continue to gain attention. We have limited resources, so we’ll have to decide and prioritize what to implement (just like you have to in your daily life).
So for all old and new Fellowstreamers, please feel free to submit bugs and write comments or criticism. My e-mail is always open: deborah@fellowstream.com. So far, I’m still able to reply to everyone within a day (usually a few hours even), but the more people write, it may creep up to a day or two. I promise to write back, though. I’m not going to lie: I’m a little scared of having to take a stand and maybe disappoint a few people. Fellowstream can’t be everything to everyone. But we do want to be the best lightweight collaboration tool for small teams, and for that, an open dialogue is worth it.
Public comments and criticism are also welcome in the comments below. Cheers and have a productive Friday!
